چکیده
A small number of Peripheral Vision Display Systems in threesignificantly different configurations have been evaluatedin various aircraft and simulator situations. The use ofthese development systems has enabled the gathering of muchsubjective and quantitative data regarding this concept offlight deck instrumentation.However, much has also beenlearned about the limitations of this equipment which needto be addressed prior to wide-spread use. This paper brieflydiscusses a program at Garrett Manufacturing Limited in whichthe Peripheral Vision Display System is being redesigned andtransformed into a viable production avionics system.
